These seniors ladies have all been part of our Red Hat Society here at the sanctuary over the years. They had a habit of lying together on the porch in the afternoon hours so they could watch over the pack playing in the yard. They intervened in the play if it got too rough, and they comforted the newcomers as they learned the lay of the land here at the sanctuary. I felt it was a fitting tribute to Mother’s Day to salute these old gals.
Bless you for taking in all the ones you do. I have taken in a senior breeder throw away and a 4 years old that was put in the yard to live after my 2 15 yr Olds passed last year. They are a special breed, my bed has been on the floor for 17 years there are stairs to the sofa and love seat and a ramp on the doggie door. I would have many more if I had the money to take care of all their needs but will always get rescues that deserve to be loved and cared for. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you Bonnie for following my blog and for taking in the senior babies. They need us ALL to do what we can, and I’m thrilled to hear that you are there for them too!
